Wedding Photography
I finally got the go ahead to post some pictures from two weekends ago I shot. Here are a few of my shots.
Stealing From the Templemans
I know that Chris and Kellie don't hold a copyright on weekend updates, so I guess it really isn't stealing, but I had a great weekend. Friday I met Brian for an early showing of Inception at the Mall of Georgia. This was a way to hopefully calm our nerves because that evening we started working on shooting a wedding. It was a surprisingly awesome movie. I was really dissapointed with DeCaprio in Shutter Island and went into this movie with that mindset. I know Chris Nolan did an amazing job with the batman series, but could he bring the magic that has been so hit or miss for DeCaprio? Absolutely. I don't think I have ever seen a movie that really had me engaged as much as this one did. After the movie we met Brian's wife Katrina for some lunch and walking for a couple minutes around the mall because Brian needed a UGA shirt for the rehearsal that night.
After getting a shirt Brian and I made a quick run down to Fry's for some batteries and an extra memory card. It was my first trip to Fry's and unlike the movie, it kinda disappointed me. It was massive and had tons of electronic stuff, but it really seemed like it was trying to be way too much. It was like a Best Buy, Cosco, Think Geek, and Amazon all mashed together keeping most of the worst parts and squeezing out the good stuff. I think maybe if I still built computers or needed some specialty things it would be better or if I was looking for some specialty items I needed right now it might be awesome. It just seemed to be a dirty and unorganized warehouse of lower end items.
Happy Easter
Spring is here and life is growing anew. I love this time of year as it marks the single most important event in the world. Easter. I know Christmas gets a lot more hype and commercialization in the Christian world, but Easter is so much more important. Christ has risen!
One of my favorite things about Easter is the family getting together. This past weekend was no exception. Kim and I left after she got off work on Friday. We got to my mom's house about 6:30, just in time for spaghetti. We kinda relaxed and hung out Friday night, except for a short ride around town with the doors and roof off my Jeep to get some gas.
A great start to a new weekend
Wow, this week was a busy one at work. Spent a lot of time trying to make sure we could deploy software to campus machines smoothly. I am looking forward to what is coming up soon with distributions to student machines, and even on demand, off campus installs for students. This feeling of a bright new future for student services at CSU has really gotten me pumped for the weekend.
To top off all of that, today is payday. Talk about a great timing. For two hours this morning I could have ruled the world. But like most everyone else, the money is now gone to pay bills. Not that I am complaining about bills, I understand they are what give me warmth, shelter, and Rubi. Speaking of Rubi, she needs a bath. Hopefully I can take care of that this morning.
