The Wall The Misadventures of a PK

A week of frustrations

This has been a pretty crazy week at work.  From a complete collapse of a major project, a phishing scam targeting our portal, and my UPS freaking out, to Telecom saving our project, office painted, and getting my new iPhone skin, I am pretty much beat.  I still have to actually complete the project, converting our LANDesk core server from physical to VM, at 6pm this evening, and today is my day off.  Add to it that I am told I am the liaison for the HUB when dealing with Admin Systems and/or Telecom, yet was left out of the loop this week resulting in a major duplication effort, and I am really feeling burned out.  Here's hoping for something fun this weekend to get my mind off all this.

  1. Sounds like a terrible time. I was hoping that the major project that collapsed was the Portal, but oh well. You are now officially a liason huh? You were by de facto before, but now you should be able to put that in your job duties :)

    • If only it was a Luminus issue, but it was actually a Dell issue this time. Their server setup utility broke the ability to clone the physical server to a VM by hiding the boot info in an unnamed fat32 partition. Todd and Roger finally figured it out and saved about 20 hours of work over the weekend.
