The iPad
The Apple iPad
Yesterday Kim and I went to the Apple store at Lenox Mall, and spent about an hour playing with the iPad. I fought really hard with myself not to get one, and thus far, I have been very successful. The problem is that the more I read about it and play with one the more I want it. I am not really going to talk about it, but I wanted to open it up to you guys to talk about it. What are y'alls opinions of the iPad? Do you plan to get one? Waiting for a second generation?

Chris wants one badly, but totally waiting for 2nd gen to be released. By then, Apple usually have the bugs worked out. I think they are really sweet, we played with them at the new Computer store in Newnan but if it were me, I would rather have a Macbook pro.

I agree that this is not a replacement for a computer. I don’t think it was designed to be. Luckily I already have a MBP, and I now want something portable.

I’m not sure I have much use for one after the novelty wears off. So I don’t see myself buying one any time soon. But I do think I will be getting a new MBP soon.

I am not sure I see it as a novelty. It is something unique and different, that I pretty much do not think anyone needs. That said it does fill a gap that I would love for it to which is 90% of what I do on a computer, email and web surf.
