The Wall The Misadventures of a PK

Wow, a crazy weekend

Not really gonna bore everyone with everything I did this weekend, but I started in Augusta with my dad in the hospital and finished it with an absolutely awesome and relaxing Sunday afternoon with Kim. Overall it was a good weekend.  My dad should be home this afternoon and is doing ok.  Looks like a long battle ahead but one I am confident we will come out ahead in.

In other news I found a new game for the iPhone that I am really having a blast with.  It is called We Rule, and it is like a sim game or I am guessing farmville for you Facebookers. You have a small kingdom and you have to build farms, houses, businesses and more.  What is really fun about it is that you can actually go to your friends kingdoms and buy stuff from their shops.  One of the things I really like about it is the ability to turn on and off push notifications for certain actions.  Like if I want to know when a building is complete, it will alert me.

There are a few problems with the game however.  It is a persistant world and as such if your crops get ready for harvest and you don't get back in time, they will rott and you will be out the time and money you put into them.  I know this sounds like it could be alleviated by the push notifications, but I am noticing that many times the notifications never come.  This kinda stinks.  There is also no indication of how long a crop can stay in the field.  Like if I know something is gonna be ready to harvest at 3am, do I need to just know that it is gonna rot, or can I wait till I wake up at 7am to harvest it?

I know this is a new game and I hope that ngmoco continues to expand it.  It is a really fun game that fits perfect in the iPhone game market.  I can jump on for about 10 to 15 seconds if I just need to kill a little time, or can spend 20 or so minutes exploring my friends' kingdoms and reworking mine.  Overall I really recommend this game as it is free.  Talk about a great price.
